One way I personally feel my best is moving my body every week! I encourage my Style Coaching clients to do the same, in a way that works for them, whether that be yoga, time with a a
personal trainer, a spin class, a walk with their dog, biking, or a boxing class.
Moving your body helps you look and feel your best, which translates to more confidence in your own skin AND your clothes.
What you wear while you are active can boost your confidence as much as the activity itself, not to mention give you the pep in your step to get motivated. To show you how to style your activewear, I partnered with Eleven Eleven in Mountain Brook, Alabama. Just like being more excited to go to a party because you have a new fun dress, having fun activewear helps you feel more excited to hit the gym or go to that workout class.
While I am a firm believer in cute activewear, it does not take the place of cute daily clothes. (So yes, that means that I don’t think you should replace your pants with leggings! Repeat: Leggings are not pants.) Now that we have gotten that out of the way, let’s dive in! Below you’ll find my tips on how to wear and style workout clothing.
Below are three activewear/athleisure outfits that you can emulate.
Look 1: This outfit is all about leisure, such as time spent lounging at home, a lake weekend with the girls, a long flight, or Saturday morning errands. The joggers and cute tee look more up-leveled than your activewear but are just as cozy and comfy. You can toss on a cute vest,
denim jacket or scarf to add personality and layers to this type of outfit as well.
Look 2: The outfit is for hitting the gym or a workout class. The leggings are wonderful and super high rise, which makes me personally feel more comfortable and ready to move, not to mention the print & shine are super cute! I’m also wearing a sports bra that’s a little longer than your average sports bra and it’s so comfortable and almost meets the top of my leggings to keep everything smooth and in place. The white burnt out tank is light, breezy and is great for sweating it out inside or outside.

Look 3: The outfit is for hitting the gym or a workout class, too. We’re seeing more cropped tops paired with high waisted leggings, and this is an example of how to wear this look. The leggings have a cool zig zag design that reveals a little skin without feeling overexposed. This black tee is by Eleven Eleven, a new brand they are working on with local Alabama women. It supports our state while also being cute and comfy.
Wearing activewear that is both flattering and stylish will provide you with more confidence to regularly move your body, which in the end will result in you feeling and looking your best!
