My Weekend of Outfits

L'Amour

While I’m a Style Coach and love to look great on the go, I’m human, too, and there’s nothing I love better than kicking back in my Uggs at home after a hard day’s work. I’m not a size zero, I have curves, and I don’t dress in head to toe designers, BUT because I’ve learned how to dress my body type, curate my closet, and shop for my budget, I’ve been able to master style for every occasion. And in today’s blog post, I want to show you just that!

My weekends in Birmingham are always filled with a variety of activities, whether browsing the Famers’ Market in Pepper Place on Saturday’s or eating at one of my favorite local restaurants like Bamboo on 2nd. Whatever the occasion, I always want to feel my best, and that means wearing clothing that is comfortable, easy to move in and fits my personality.

So, here we go :). Here is my weekend of outfits to inspire you to dress as your best self no matter the day or event.

Saturday AM:

Saturday morning, I attended a baby shower and then ate lunch at the fabulous Bottega Cafe. I rented this fun stripe skirt from Rent the Runway as it seemed cheerful and perfect for celebrating my friend and her baby boy. I kept the rest neutral to allow the skirt to be the focal point. I added my great grandmother’s gold belt to it to add a little interest and sophistication. By the way if you will be attending to a baby shower in the upcoming days check out this baby shower gift ideas to surprise the mom.

Saturday PM:

It’s hot and humid in the south still so a 2.5 hour walking tour required my Mara Hoffman linen culottes and my favorite Golden Goose sneakers. I’m not much of a shorts person so culottes were the way to go.

Sunday:

For dinner with the fam I went casual but polished and classic. I love my white Mother jeans (stay tuned for our guide to wearing white after Labor Day!) & Schutz mules, they both go with everything. And animal print is my signature 🙂
