NYFW: Lela Rose SS16
By: Laura Foster
Winter is a magical time. The clothes are amazing. There’s just something special in the air. However, with cooler temps and less hours of sun comes S.A.D. (Seasonal Affective Disorder).
So to brighten your mood and bring a little more sunshine into your day, I want to share with you the Lela Rose Spring/Summer 2016 show from NYFW!
It was easily my favorite show I’ve ever had the privilege of attending, and for the maybe the first time, has me counting down the moments until spring. Others may say, “Florals for spring how original,” but ‘others’ clearly haven’t seen this show. Adorned with 3000 tulips hung about the center runway, and the soft lighting of pinks and purple set the tone for the rest of the show.
The perfect mix of crisp whites, sheer inlays, metallics, vibrant neons, bold prints, and delicate floral appliqué echoed through the show. Showing a wide array of equally fabulous dresses, gowns, pants, jumpsuits, skirts and top, Lela Rose, whose designs are known to flatter and frame the female figure like a glove, has created the perfect collection to extenuate your hourglass shape or perhaps create one.
Sit back, relax, and enjoy a few of my favorite looks!
