Skirt Outfits: How to Style a Skirt 3 Ways

Source D’inspiration, Style Tip

Looking for easy skirt outfits to throw on and go? Start with the below-the-knee or midi length skirt as it’s the perfect foundational piece for your wardrobe! It’s current, statement-making, and versatile all at once. It can easily transition from a casual morning at the farmers market to a date night out with the hubby! Of course, it is all in how you style the skirt that will allow you to go from one occasion to the next.

Just as I share my top tips as a Style Coach with my clients during our outfit making sessions, I am sharing with you how I have personally styled a midi-skirt 3 ways to give you inspiration for fresh ideas to style your own!  And for any pregnant femmes know that these skirt outfit ideas apply to you too!  With a limited maternity wardrobe, I’ve found it is very nice to have pieces that mix and match to create countless outfits.

Skirt Style Tip: #1

Rock a high-low look like this for a date night with your significant other or a girls night in your best friends backyard! By pairing a tee with a fun cotton skirt and block heel sandals you’re comfortable yet pulled together. The silver metallic shoe and necklace complete the skirt outfit and give it a fun feel. While white always works, the pink tee pulls out the pink embroidery in the floral design of the skirt to create a different look.

Skirt Style Tip: #2

For a casual skirt outfit that allows you to easily go from the heat to the AC, try a basic white tee and denim jacket with your skirt. Make sure to roll up the sleeves on the jacket for a more flattering silhouette. A neutral sandal or espadrille is easy to throw on & complete this look! I added a fun floral statement stud earring to add another focal point to my otherwise neutral outfit.

Skirt Style Tip: #3

One of my go-to casual skirt outfits is a graphic tee and a skirt with sneakers. It’s easy, comfortable & feels perfect for working from home or running errands. Neutral or white sneakers are versatile and look great with a skirt or dress. The graphic tee pulls out the colors in the skirt’s embroidery and that’s the best way to ‘match’ a graphic tee with a more fun skirt, pant or jean.

I invite you to experiment with your wardrobe and style your skirts in a new way with the style tips I have shared!  By trying new ‘outfit formulas’ you are more likely to kick that style rut to the curb, as well as get more use out of what’s in your wardrobe.
