Summer Dresses for Every Figure

L'Amour

A dilemma many woman face daily is how to dress for their unique silhouette, BUT the problem stems from the fact that they most likely don’t even know their actual body shape. Knowing what to wear and what to avoid for your body type can make all the difference when shopping, putting together outfits, and ultimately feeling confident daily. To determine your body shape and then how to dress accordingly just read below!

Hourglass

If you have this body shape, your bust and hips are proportionate and your waist dips in. The key to dressing for this body type is to show off your curves and defined waist! Try something that draws in at the waist and then either hugs or flares out over the hips.

Rectangle

If you have this body shape, your hips and shoulders are about the same width, and your waist is not very defined. With this body type, you can create the illusion of more curves with an A-line dress.

Triangle

If you have this body shape, your hips are larger than your shoulders, and your waist is often defined. When dressing, you want more detailing at the top to draw the eye up to create a more balanced look.

Inverted Triangle

If you have this body shape, you’re the opposite of the Triangle Body Type meaning your shoulders are broader than your hips. You’ll want to balance out your shape by adding more volume and interest to the bottom of your body.

Petite & Plus Size

Within each of the above body types, there’s also petite and plus size. If you’re petite, adding volume can sometimes swallow your figure, so try a simple silhouette with some fun details. If you’re plus size, show off your curves and accentuate the part of your body that you love the most through plus size clothing such as 3x clothing.
