SYC 7 Day Challenge

L'Amour

Do you ever feel like there aren’t enough hours in the day?

Of course you do, you’re human.Even though you might be the most organized person in the entire world, it always feels like there are something’s that there aren’t enough time for and always get pushed to the bottom of the list.

Here are a few things that get pushed to the bottom of the list: Date Nights or Girl’s Night Out Nights, doing something enjoyable with your family, and relaxing.

Are you starting to see a pattern? They’re all related to something pleasurable. Something just for you, and you find it hard to prioritize doing something for yourself over the laundry list of other things you need to do so you skip it all together.

As many of you well know, my team and I are HUGE advocates for self-care! We love it, but more than that we recognize the importance of it. When we get caught up in everything we must do, it becomes more of an obligation, and less about doing something that we originally loved. When that happens, everything else is effected and not in a good way.

So how do we “find” time in our packed out schedules??

We schedule self care time.

It sounds silly, I know, but as business guru, Maria Forleo once said, “ If you don’t schedule it; it’s not real.” You’re never just going to magically find time in your schedule. You have to make the time! If you make the time, it will always be there.

Want to start getting more pleasure, style, and happiness out of your days?! Join me on my 7 day challenge!

So go ahead and start. You’ve got nothing to lose, but everything to gain by joining me and hundreds of women like yourself on this challenge.

SYC CHALLENGE DAY 1: SELF CARE

Write down 3 things that you can’t live without; now write down 3 things that make you feel fabulous. Even if it’s just one thing a day, make a commitment to yourself to do that! I love manicures and spa days. Here I am enjoying a little me time at the spa…

Get more out of these 7 days and stay accountable to your fellow SYC femmes:Play along with us by taking a picture of yourself or your surroundings while you’re doing each adventure and post it to Instagram, Facebook, and/or Twitter, with the hashtag #SYCchallenge. For example, maybe today you share a picture of yourself that you love, a picture of you doing yoga/dance/running, reading a book, getting a manicure –anything that shows you taking a little “me” time 🙂 Feel free to tag me too so I can see your fabulous self! (You can find me here: Instagram, Facebook, Twitter.)

This will help you stay accountable and allow other women to celebrate your successes with you, while you cheer them on, too.

Buddha once said, “You can search throughout the entire universe for someone who is more deserving of your love and affection than you are yourself, and that person is not to be found anywhere. You yourself, as much as anybody in the entire universe deserve your love and affection.”

#SYCchallenge DAY 2: Someone You Admire———————————————————-

While I’ve always been great at keeping secrets there are TWO SECRETS I can’t keep to myself!

It didn’t seem fair for you to miss out on this AMAZING DEAL (as this will be the ONLY DISCOUNT I offer for SYC this spring), so I wanted to share the secret with you!

What’s the second secret?? Keep reading to find out!

SYC CHALLENGE DAY 2: Someone You Admire

Here’s a little something that I learned recently that I wanted to share with you: The traits you admire in others are already in you. You just have to cultivate and develop the skills that you have inside of you to then project the image you desire.

Take a moment and let that sink in.

If you’ve ever thought, “I wish I was as stylish as Jackie Kennedy” OR “I wish I could easily put together polished outfits like Kate Middleton, those traits are already apart of who you are. How amazing is that!?

All you need to do is refine those skills and strengthen them. We are all women to be admired in our own way.

This is a picture of Fashion Illustrator, Style Blogger & Tastemaker, Garance Dore and I at a conference last year. I’ve admired her for a very longtime. She is warm, gracious, talented, and effortlessly stylish. Everything that I desire to project and cultivate in myself.

***Here’s your #SYCchallenge for today– write down a list of 3 people you admire and 5 things you like about them. Now circle the traits that are your top choice for each person. Are they all similar attributes?

Now, start putting them into action! How can you develop these skills? If you want to be more stylish & have more confidence in your daily look, then work on your Pinterest style board, or even check out my SYC virtual program HERE. All of these skills and more are yours for the taking!

#SYCchallenge DAY 3: Cleanse Your Closet———————————————————-

Do you want to know the #1 question I always get from perspective clients?

“Can you help me clean out my closet?”

More often than not, when my clients come to me initially they’re not always looking for overall style help, they want me to clean out their closet (that can be done easily and quickly by the Maid service Toronto), and that’s okay, I want to help you get rid of all the items that are no longer serving you!

In fact, cleansing your closet is so important that I devote 2 sessions of my online program, Style Yourself Chic solely to it.

What are my fabulous virtual SYC clients learning in the 2 closet cleansing sessions? Here’s a sneak peek:

**What to get rid of
**What to Donate
**What to Keep
**How to better organize their closets
**How to fill the “holes” in your closet (No more, last minute shopping, which means no more wasting money)
**10 things EVERY woman should have in her closet

PLUS, they have my personal insight into specific items in their wardrobe through our private SYC Facebook group! You get to share pictures of all of those “questionable items” with me and I give you 1-1 feedback so you’ll never be “alone” when cleansing. 🙂

Here’s the thing, having an over stuffed closet/having TOO many clothes isn’t the problem, it’s just a symptom of a much bigger problem. The problem often is you don’t know what your personal style is, where to shop, OR what looks good on your unique body type. Which is perfect because I also discuss these very important topics in Style Yourself Chic.

The best part is EVERY SINGLE ONE of my SYC clients achieved amazing results, and you can too!

SYC Challenge Day 3: Discard 3 Items

Everything and I do mean EVERYTHING in your closet should make you feel unique and beautiful. I guarantee right now there are probably 3 items in your closet right now that you have in mind that you hate, never wear, but you’re scared to get rid of them and you’re looking for permission to do so. HERE is your permission, not that you need it. Go, get rid of these pieces, they are no longer serving you or bringing you joy.

While you’re cleansing think about what you don’t love about them. Is it the fabric, the cut, the style, the color, etc. and write it down so you know what to watch out for in future purchases and what else to cleanse!

This will help you stay accountable and allow other women to celebrate your successes with you, while you cheer them on, too.

#SYCchallenge DAY 4: Make a Shopping List ———————————————————-

How did the mini cleanse go yesterday? Did you find a ton of items and think “Why did I buy this?” or “I’ve never worn this?”. Today’s challenge will answer both of those questions and hopefully stop you from making those mistakes again!

So what is the quickest way to junk up your closet with items you’ll never wear AND the surest way to fall into a style rut??

Here’s a hint: You do this all the time, and you probably don’t even know you’re doing it. So what are these simple mistakes with HUGE consequences?

Answer: Waiting until the last minute to shop for an event. Buying an item just because it’s on sale. Or even buying an outfit straight off of the mannequin.

While it doesn’t seem like a problem, what’s really happening is you’re just throwing your money away on items that are “one and done” pieces. These items aren’t filling the holes in your wardrobe, aren’t mixing and matching with other pieces you already own, and it won’t reflect your personal style or fit your body type.

Good news, the solution is simple: make a shopping list. This is something that I cover more in depth with my virtual clients in Style Yourself Chic.

Here’s everything you’ll gain by making a list:

-No more last minute shopping
-You’ll stop wasting money on items you never wear
-You’ll cultivate a wardrobe that you can mix and match, not just own a lot of clothes
-You’ll feel confident and put together for every occasion
-What items to splurge on and what items to save on

Can you guess today’s challenge?

SYC Challenge Day 4: Make a Shopping List

This season before you start shopping the racks, make a list! While you’re getting ready in the morning or when you think about events you have coming up start writing down items you need or would love to see in your closet! I keep my shopping list on my phone, and I actually use it every time I go shopping. So, next time you go shopping look back at your list to make sure you’re purchasing the right things.

PLUS, this one tip alone is proven to cut down on your stress when shopping as you’ll be more focused & less overwhelmed!

#SYCchallenge DAY 5: Wear Something that Makes you Feel fabulous —————————————————-

When you got up every morning this past week did you find yourself saying, “What am I going to wear today?”

Did you perhaps…

A) Go and stand in your closet for about 15 minutes before realizing that you were going to be late so you grabbed your “go to outfit (aka your uniform)”?

B) Go to your overstuffed closet, stand there wondering what to wear, but finally settle on one of the same 10 items you wear over and over again?

C) Skipped the closet to avoid feeling overwhelmed and went straight to the workout clothes. Well I might hit the gym later…at least I’m comfortable.

If you have thought any of these or perhaps all of them recently, I’m here to tell you it doesn’t have to be like this.

Why?? It’s not just that you should have a wardrobe full of clothes that you love and wear. It’s that you deserve to feel fabulous EVERYDAY.

So, when was the last time you felt fabulous in your clothes?

I’m a realist. Some days it’s not going to happen. But if it takes you longer than a second to answer the question above then I encourage you to think about the WHY behind your answer.

With all of my clients, both VIP and SYC, I devote an entire session to teaching them how to put together outfits and looks for every occasion. So that when they get up in the morning, they go to work, they go to an event, etc. the last thing they have to think about is what to wear, and they can instead just enjoy the moment–and welcome the compliments!

SYC Challenge Day 5: Wear Something that Makes you Feel fabulous

Nothing makes me feel more authentic than being with people I love! This past November my little sister and best friend got married, and I could not have been happier or more filled with love. Not only did she look gorgeous on her wedding day, but it felt amazing to be celebrating with loved ones, while wearing a dress that made me feel fabulous!

What makes you feel pretty? This is different from taking “me time”. Taking “me time” is a little 1-1 date you plan with yourself. Feeling fabulous is something you should experience everyday. What makes you feel good? Maybe it’s a lip color, a color you get complimented on a lot, a dress shape– do more of that today!

#SYCchallenge DAY 6: What Do You Desire??———————————————————-

I am sure you have a ton going on, so I’m going to keep today’s SYC challenge short and sweet 🙂

When you think about yourself a year from now what do you see? Are you healthier? In a different job? Do you want a more streamlined wardrobe? Maybe you’re even living somewhere else?

Maybe it’s not even a physical change that you want to achieve, perhaps it’s an outlook on life that you hope to gain. You want to be happier, more relaxed, feel more like the real you everyday, etc…

Whatever it is; wherever it is I want you to know that it is possible to accomplish your goals and live the life you desire.

To get started, I encourage you to do today’s challenge. Even if you skipped all the others, today take a moment on this beautiful Sunday and ask yourself, “What do I REALLY want?”.

If what you desire is more style and less stress in your life, then I invite you to take advantage of my highly acclaimed Style Yourself Chic virtual program NOW and receive $100 OFF as this offer ends tomorrow!

SYC Challenge Day 6: What Do You Desire??

Desires are wishes put to work. It’s great to know what you want, but to actually own it and put it out there is very powerful in actually achieving your goals. I love to travel and this year my desire is to do more of that, so I’m taking advantage of all the travel opportunities that I can. My husband & I actually kicked off 2016 with a trip to Nevis 🙂 Today, think about want you really desire and make a list. Keep it someplace where you’ll see it often. Even if you don’t have a big goal, write down small manageable things you can start doing right now!

Now Laura, it’s time to grab a cup of tea, find a quiet space in your home, and begin writing your desire list. Don’t hold back, let your inner desires really pour from your heart. I know you’ll be in awe of what comes to fruition from this exercise…I always am!

#SYCchallenge DAY 7: Say, “Yes!”———————————————————-
Can I ask you a personal question?

What have you been saying “no” to in your life?

Do you want to go out more, but when people ask you always say “no” or maybe you agree and then cancel at the last minute. When you see what’s in the stores, you say “no I could never pull that off, I just have no idea how to wear that”. Maybe you don’t even realize you’re saying no to things. You’re so use to taking yourself out of the running that you don’t know what you’re looking for.We can be our own worst enemies. Tuning into what you want and actually giving yourself the chance to have it is huge! Today, I want you to say “yes” to something that you desire and that would add value and joy to your life.

Today is the last day of my 7 day challenge and whether you’ve participated a lot or even just a little, I want to encourage you to do today’s challenge as it’s an important one!

SYC Challenge Day 7: Say, “Yes!”

This year, I said yes to an amazing virtual group program to help me become a better coach and bring more happiness and results to my fabulous clients! It’s time comsuming and a lot of work, but it’s an incredible feeling to know that I’m bringing positive change to my life AND my client’s lives.
