Whether you’re hosting a Thanksgiving meal in your home, attending one or taking a vacay, your Thanksgiving holiday attire will probably have the same theme: chic and comfortable.
If you are considering pulling out that sweatshirt or sweater at the back of your closet with a turkey embroidery, step away slowly and put the item down. Actually, grab a bag and toss it! Holiday themed items are definitely out, but being chic yet festive is in! This is definitely the time to don your favorite fall hue and booties, but let’s leave the turkey on the table and not on your blouse.
I’ve teamed up with my mother and sister to share with you just how you can dress for this fun holiday with ease. Let our outfits and style tips inspire you!
My Mom’s Outfit
Why She Picked this outfit: I picked the velvet because it looks rich and fallish but is good for warmer temps as it’s short sleeves. A jean jacket is a good weight and is on trend too. And lastly, I do like the velvet and jean jacket combination.
Megan’s Style Tip: Always roll up the sleeves on a denim jacket for a more flattering look. And when pairing 2 black garments together make sure they are differing textures to provide a more interesting look.
Why She Picked this outfit: My jeans are high waisted which is perfect for a Thanksgiving meal! And my shoes and earrings are part of my statement as they are a trendier items this season.
Megan’s Style Tip: There’s nothing prettier or more festive than a rich autumnal colored sweater. This season try a new fall hue, like this fabulous mustard color.
Why I Picked this outfit: Animal print is always a favorite print of mine, and it also happens to be on trend this season. I love making it feel even more fallish by pairing it back with burgundy jeans and brown booties.
Megan’s Style Tip:
When a blouse feels too long try half‐tucking it to create a more flattering look. To learn how to properly half tuck click HERE
