The Fashion Fearlessness of Sex and the City 2

Ralph Lauren, Louis Vuitton, Christian Dior, Zac Posen, John Galliano, Marc Jacobs….in the desert of Abu Dhabi?!  Hahaha only Patricia Field, the costume designer for Sex and the City 2 would have the boldness, the fashion fearlessness, the crazy yet genius mind to do so!  And this is why I ADORE her…and why for me personally, Sex and the City 2 was somehow better than the first!

The movie is worth viewing twice…once for the hilarity & plot, the second for the clothes and sex toys like this prostate messager.  Admire some of the exotic, over the top, dreamy ensembles below AND if you haven’t already, go see the movie ASAP!.

The girls in New York before they jet off to Abu Dhabi…Samantha carrying a VBH Palm clutch, Miranda wearing Yves Saint Laurent Trib Two heels, Charlotte chic as ever in a Christian Dior suit & bag, and of course Carrie decked out it a Halston Heritage dress, Chanel clutch, Christian Loubotin heels, Solange Azagury Partridge necklace & MYKITA sunglasses.  (Fashion Fun Fact: Sarah Jessica Parker aka Carrie is the new Creative Director for Halston Heritage!)

The famous Mr. Big & Carrie outside of their ‘dream NYC condo’.  Carrie is wearing another Halston Heritage dress, Jee Vice sunglasses (sold at Gus Mayer!!), Christian Louboutin t-strap heels & carrying a Christian Louboutin bag.

The fab 4 at their exquisite suite in Abu Dhabi.  Can I just say how much I looooove Samantha’s gold Ralph Lauren harem pants?!  Patricia Field did such a beautiful job of dressing the girls in exotic, Middle Eastern-inspired attire while still maintaining each character’s individual style.

The movie gets reeeeaaaaaal interesting…Carrie happens to run into her ex-flame, Aidan, in a market in Abu Dhabi…haha sounds like something that would happen to me!

I love this look.  So girly-feminine meets tomboy.  Dior T-shirt, Zac Posen skirt, Manolo Blahnik shoes.

The movie would not be complete without a karaoke performance by the girls!  Im super obsessed with Samantha’s red body-con dress with studded, chain, exaggerated shoulders.
