Work to Weekend Outfits for Easy Transitions

Source D’inspiration

As a Style Coach, I work with women of all lifestyles from the stay-at-home mom to the CEO to the newly retired, and the one common desire among them all is wanting to have a wardrobe that can easily transition from one activity to the next.

The key to going from work to weekend is to have certain items in your wardrobe like a sleek sneaker to replace your loafers, a clutch for evenings out or a dress that can be styled up or down — effortless and efficient! I’m a firm believer that you don’t have to own two completely separate wardrobes to suit your busy schedule.

Here are a few style tips and outfit formulas to take you from work to weekend with ease:

  • Shirt dresses are classic yet on trend and versatile enough to look professional or casual depending on how you style them (ex: switch out your dressier shoe for a flat sandal or sneaker, et voila!)
  • Consider a high-low look (meaning pairing casual + dressier items together) where you take a dressier item like a blazer and pair it with jeans, a tee and a stylish sneaker for an upleveled casual look.
  • Swap out your every day bag for a clutch for your evening outfits. I love a straw one for the summer.

No more changing outfits multiple times a day to go from the office to a fun evening out. Let this inspire you to see the versatility in your own wardrobe.
